INVO
Packing and traceability

Control packing and trace every lot through to the finished product.

Release orders straight to the packing lines, and check product, packaging, weight and label conformance. Tie every unit, case and pallet to the production lot and to the ingredients it was made from.

What the module does

Connect production, packing and logisticsin one flow.

INVO hands packing the product, lot, packaging variant, weight, label and planned unit count. Every operation is recorded, and finished logistics units reach inventory with their full history of origin.

Module capabilities

  • Packing orders and schedules
  • Digital instructions for operators
  • Product, packaging and label checks
  • Cases, pallets and logistics units built in the system
  • Throughput and waste monitoring
  • Full traceability and recall support

Packing dashboard

Every packing line, order and risk in one view.

The dashboard shows order progress, packing rate, finished unit counts, packaging material availability, and any stoppage or nonconformance. A supervisor sees whether packing is keeping up with production and which orders are at risk.

  • Packing order progress
  • Rate and throughput of each line
  • Finished units, cases and pallets
  • Packaging material availability
  • Waste, shortages and nonconformances

Packing orders

Give the line exact informationabout every product.

A packing order is tied directly to a production order and a specific product lot. It sets the unit count, weight, packaging variant, the materials required, the label template, and how cases and pallets are built.

  1. Stage 1

    Lot received from production

The system confirms the lot number, the product quantity and that the required quality checks are complete.

  2. Stage 2

    Materials staged

The operator gets the list of the correct trays, film, labels, cases and other materials.

  3. Stage 3

    Packing and checks

The system records unit counts, actual weights, waste and check results.

  4. Stage 4

    Logistics unit closed

Finished units are combined into cases and pallets, then handed over to the finished goods store.

Digital operator station

Walk the operator through every packing operation.

The operator works from a tablet or line panel showing the current order, the product, the expected weight, the correct materials and the packing instruction. The system requires product, lot, packaging and label to be confirmed before work starts. Counts, waste, stoppages and quality problems are recorded at the station.

Material and variant checks

Use the right packaging for every product variant.

INVO checks trays, film, labels, cases and other materials against the product specification. The operator scans materials before packing starts, and the system warns before the wrong variant is used.

  • Material availability checked
  • Packaging and labels scanned
  • Conformance to the specification verified
  • Multiple product variants supported
  • Actual consumption recorded
  • Returns and unused material reconciled

Labeling

Print the right label for the right product and lot.

The system selects the label template from the product, variant, customer, market and production lot. Ingredients, allergens, weight, lot number and use-by date are pulled from the current product record.

  • Label templates per product and customer
  • Lot numbers and use-by dates
  • Ingredients, allergens and nutrition values
  • Product and logistics unit codes
  • Integration with label printers
  • Print conformance checks

Packing quality control

Catch a nonconformance before the product leaves the line.

Quality checks belong to the product and to a specific packing stage. The system can require weight, seal integrity, appearance and label accuracy to be confirmed before a lot moves to inventory. Results can be entered by the operator or read from scales, sensors, vision systems and inspection equipment.

  • Weight and portion checks
  • Packaging and label verification
  • Shortages and rejects recorded
  • Nonconforming units and lots blocked
  • History of checks and corrective actions
  • Result tied to a specific pack

Cases, pallets and logistics units

Build the full product structure from pack to pallet.

INVO combines individual packs into cases, and cases into pallets and other logistics units. Each unit gets its own identifier and keeps its relationship to the products and lots inside it. The contents of a specific pallet can be checked later without unwrapping it.

  • Cases and pallets built in the system
  • Products scanned during assembly
  • Logistics unit numbers and SSCC codes
  • Pack count per case verified
  • Repacking and pallet splits supported
  • Units handed over to inventory

Throughput and waste monitoring

See where packing loses time, material and throughput.

INVO compares planned rate and material usage with what actually happened. It shows line throughput, reject counts, stoppage causes and packaging consumed. A supervisor can move from the plant result down to a line, shift, product or order.

  • Line and shift throughput
  • Run time and downtime
  • Packaging material consumption

Full traceability

Go from a finished pack to every ingredient lot it contains.

INVO records the product's full history from ingredient delivery, through inventory and production, to the pack, case, pallet and customer delivery. Every event connects into one traceability path. The analysis can start from any element: an ingredient, a production lot, a pack, a pallet or a delivery.

  • Lots and suppliers of the ingredients used
  • Recipe and production process
  • Production parameters and quality results
  • Packs, cases and pallets
  • Storage and issue
  • Customers and deliveries tied to the lot

Product recall

Find every product affected in minutes.

When something goes wrong, INVO identifies every lot, pack, case, pallet and delivery tied to a given ingredient or process. That keeps the recall to the products actually at risk.

  • Impact analysis for a defective ingredient lot
  • Products and logistics units identified
  • List of warehouses, deliveries and customers
  • Lots and inventory blocked
  • Returns and disposal recorded
  • Full documentation of the recall

Factory Brain for packing

Predict delays and nonconformances on the packing lines.

Factory Brain reads packing rate, material availability, reject levels, downtime and the queue of products waiting to be packed. From that it predicts risks and recommends what to do. It can warn in advance that labels will run out, that a line will not finish its order on time, or that rejects have moved off their normal level.

  • Packing order delays predicted
  • Packaging material shortages forecast
  • Unusual increases in rejects detected
  • Drops in line rate identified
  • Order resequencing recommended
  • Packing completion time predicted
Factory Brain · Recommendation

Risk detected

At the current rate, Line P-04 will finish its order 52 minutes late. Label stock covers 34 minutes of running.

Recommendation

Move the second half of the order to Line P-06 and replenish 2,400 labels from the packaging store.

Expected effect

  • Order finished as planned
  • Line P-06 utilization: 87%
  • No effect on the following orders
  • Label stock replenished before the stoppage

Integrations

Connect packing to production, inventory and logistics.

INVO works from recipe, production lot, quality result and material availability data. Once packing is finished it sends inventory the finished units, and logistics what it needs for picking and shipping. It can connect to label printers, scanners, scales, inspection equipment and existing ERP systems.

  • Recipes and product data
  • Production MES and quality control
  • Product and packaging inventory
  • Printers, scanners, scales and sensors

One source of truth for every packed product.

Every pack, scan, check result, case, pallet and issue is written to one system. That lets you see how a product was packed, what it was made from, where it is now and who it went to.

Pack to specification. Trace the product across the whole chain.
